Melanie Outdoor started in 2020 with a folding table at a Hudson Valley trailhead and a duffel full of gear we wished someone had sold us: a lantern that actually lasted the night, a cookset that didn't scorch the oats, a tent that shrugged off sideways rain. Campers kept stopping at the table, and the same question kept coming back — "where can we buy this online?" So we built the store we wanted to shop at.

Today, Madelinacosa LLC runs Melanie Outdoor from 500 W 167th St #301, New York, NY 10032, USA, shipping tents, cookware, lighting and trail accessories across the United States. We test everything in the field before it reaches the catalogue: pitched in weather, boiled dry, switched on at 2 a.m. If it wouldn't earn a spot in our own packs, it doesn't earn a spot in yours.

Along the way, outfitters, scout troops and camp stores started asking for cases instead of units — so we built a wholesale program with honest minimums and automatic volume pricing right into the cart. Retail or wholesale, the promise is the same: dependable gear, straight answers, and support from people who actually camp.
